Goodbye January!

It has been a busy month with images for Southern Poverty Law Center's magazine, Teaching Tolerance; Christian Science Monitor, Honolulu Magazine. I also completed book illustrations for National Geographic Education Publishing and wrote/illustrated a board book with tigertales, both of which I hope to share with you soon. Taking a "break" today with doodling words, pictures for new ideas!

Finding Balance

Just finished this image for Leche de Tigre's Feb 18th show poster. We're sharing the evening with a group I'm really excited about called Medicine for the People. Should be an amazing night of great music and beautiful people.

Chasing Shadows

Prudence is 40 lbs of sometimes uncontrolled enthusiasm—your basic "happy puppy". When I'm walking her, it's hard not to laugh when I see her salivate at the geese crossing the road, lunging at the wild chickens in the forest or eating every single avocado that rolls her way. But the sweetest sight so far was watching her chase a butterfly's shadow. The butterfly itself sailed serenely above her head, completely unaware that part of it was the target of my hyper friend.
